Ice Cube's Big3 League will have a Detroit Home Team 2025
In June Ice Cube announced Detroit would be among one of the 4 cities to have a home team in the Big3 starting in 2025. Just another one of the big things happening for Detroit. Prior to this season, the league operated without home teams. Houston, Miami and LA are the other cities playing this season.
The games consist of 3 on 3 players who are usually formally NFL and Hall of Fame players. The league has it's own set of rules that are different from the ones used by the International Basketball Federation, like a slightly longer shot clock and half time determinations . Cube calls these types of games Fireball.
Big3 has already done some pretty great things like hiring women coaches and making team ownership more accessible. Stay tuned for the locations for the upcoming season.
